As a local employer and a business owner, I have worked with Ida for over ten years. I feel it is important to choose an MLA and a government that can best represent our community and guide British Columbia through this period of global economic uncertainty. This is why I am supporting Ida Chong and the BC Liberals.

I have known and admired Ida Chong for over 15 years, as MLA for Oak Bay-Gordon Head, and as an individual who cares deeply for her community and her constituents. Ida works tirelessly in a genuine, thoughtful and effective way, achieving an exceptional balance between her extensive Cabinet and community responsibilities. It is my hope that Oak Bay-Gordon Head will continue to be served by this dedicated and experienced politician.
Brian Smith - Former BC Attorney General
As a life long resident, Ida has been a strong representative for her riding of Oak Bay-Gordon Head. She understands business and cares deeply and passionately about her community and the people she serves. Ida and the BC Liberals have my support, especially now, during these tough economic times when we need solid leadership with a vision for the future. We need a government that will get us back to a balanced budget while ensuring that our priorities such as Health and Education are protected and improved - I know the BC Liberals can do that.

This provincial election is not only the time to decide the big issues such as which party will do the best job protecting our environment and our economy, but it is also the time to select who we want to be our citizens’ advocate for the next four years.
As a former MLA myself, I want to give kudos to Ida Chong for being one of the best I have seen to take care of her constituents. I don’t live in Ida Chong’s riding, but I have personally witnessed her showing her compassion and creativity meeting the needs of a disabled friend of mine who also does not live in her riding. That touch of genuine caring for people impressed me greatly.
In this election I would encourage citizens to vote not only on the big issues, but for someone who cares for people and has the skills and willingness to make the small things happen to better the lives of the people of BC. If I lived in Oak Bay-Gordon Head, I would vote for Ida Chong.
